Is it live, or is it teenaged rebellion?

Remember when you were a little tot, and you fought and whined in the mornings because your mom wouldn't let you wear, say, your Wonder Woman underoos and Star Wars light saber to school? And remember being around seven when you FINALLY wore your parents down and they let you wear your favorite outfit (Burger King crown, bathing suit, and ballerina tu tu) to the beach? Then remember being a surly and sassy twelve or thirteen and hating dad because of the "no makeup" rule, and going out to the mall with your friends and, in the ladies room, giggling and squealing as you piled on enough blush and lipstick for two grown drag queens? Then remember growing up?
