Oops, I did it again

"Honey?" I called. "What?" Hub said. Because I'd said 'honey?' in a particular way, a light, high inflection that I sometimes use, Hub knew it would be followed by something he didn't want to hear. Something like, "Um, you know how our car didn't used to have any scratches? Well..." "You know how I like porn?" I trilled. " (groan) YEAH?" from the other room. "Remember that time when I paid a dollar ninety-five for a three-day pass to a porn website?" I lilted, "But I didn't read the fine print, and had I read it, I'd have seen that at the end of the three days they automatically charged me forty dollars for a month and would automatically keep charging monthly unless I cancelled?" He didn't answer but I knew he knew where I was going with this. I continued, "How did you cancel that again? Because I might have done it again..." ...
"Hub?"
...(no answer)...
"Honey, you still there?"
...(muted grumbling sounds?)...
He loves me.
